Description of Project:

Fannie Mae turned to Aquent when it needed to deploy SharePoint and integrate it with content management systems and business and financial reporting tools. Fannie Mae (the Federal National Mortgage Association) is a government-sponsored enterprise and publicly traded company that is largest buyer of mortgages in the U.S. market. The company’s decisions are highly dependent on data—accurate and easily accessible. The Aquent team was tasked to assist in the implementation of a streamlined solution that would enable Fannie Mae to migrate data from hundreds of micro sites, thus providing the company and its stakeholders the ability to review and analyze data significantly faster than it had previously been able to do. In order to provide the requisite talent, Aquent developed and trained a team and managed the project during the entire, multi-year effort.

The Aquent team provided a variety of talent, including SharePoint programmers, web developers, marketing, events, and communications professionals. The team managed the project, working closely with Fannie Mae personnel, to launch the new capability.

In addition to its expertise in web development and user experience, the team also brought knowledge of finance, mortgage backed securities, and other expertise relevant to Fannie Mae's mission in order to complete the project successfully. The project resulted in a deeper relationship between Aquent and Fannie Mae, and Aquent continues to work with the company today.
