Description of Project:

The Regional Transportation District of Denver (RTD-Denver) needed to make its web site, RTD-Denver.com, more attractive, interactive, and user-friendly, but didn't need to hire its own full-time staff to make these upgrades. RTD-Denver came to Aquent for the talent they needed—marketing services, interactive design, and web development expertise.

Aquent's web project lead served as the project manager (PM) for the development of new functionality, web pages, and applications for RTD-Denver.com, including its mobile website, m.rtd-denver.com. A cross-functional team of web designers, developers, and internal clients worked closely with the client to map new functionality, analyze and document requirements, and then plan, design, develop and launch next-generation web enhancements and tools on RTD-Denver.com. Led by the PM, the team coordinated with RTD-Denver's IT staff to develop web applications to enhance functionality, and then tested, performed quality assurance, and deployed the new web products.

With the newly enhanced site live, a reduced Aquent team currently provides maintenance and operations services, including developing and adding new content and updating current content. The team provides documentation, trains internal staff, and customizes new applications for content management. In addition, Aquent talent manages GovDelivery, a system for delivering email updates to transit riders. Aquent staff developed and now maintains RTD-Denver's presence on social media as appropriate to achieve consistency of messaging, promote the brand, and reach stakeholders on social networking sites such as Facebook®, Linkedln®, YouTube®, and Twitter®, as well as on blogs and other digital media.
