Description of Project:
As part of its effort to help Americans understand the role of the Department of State in government, help Americans understand foreign affairs, and reach out to international media, the Department of State publishes a wide variety of video products—including finished digital video and live feeds—to its web site, state.gov, its YouTube® channel, statevideo, and video podcasts on iTunes®.
Because of the increased volume of work, the Office of Media Services needed additional resources but did not have approval to hire additional full-time employees. They came to Aquent to help address their surge.
Aquent provided a media specialist to handle encoding of digital video and live feeds from the Office of Broadcast Services at the Digital Communications Center in the State Department's Bureau of Public Affairs. Aquent's talent surpassed State's expected efficiencies and quality standards and, as a result, the Department of State found a way to hire talent full-time after two years of service.
