Aquent is seeking an individual to be part of a larger team, supporting infrastructure for a Fortune 500 company. This is a contract position for 1 year with the potential for extension for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include:
• Install and configure SQL Servers and configure them for efficient performance.
• Create and manage multiple SQL Databases.
• Communicate with business teams and create SQL environments as per their requirements.
• Identify and resolve issues on large databases.
• Interact among team members as well other database owners.
• Schedule and manage database backups and recoveries, and data restorations.

• Must be highly qualified in the System DBA activities for SQL Server with a minimum of 5 years
experience in this capacity.
• Candidate needs to be at the "senior" level with significant experience installing, configuring, monitoring,
and maintaining SQL databases.
• SQL Query performance analysis and tuning experience.
• SQL Server 2005/2008/2010
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and cooperatively with others.
