Our client, a local university publication, is looking for a part-time freelance Art Director/Senior Designer! This role requires someone to work onsite in Watertown for 2-3 days per week. This assignment is scheduled to last 3 months. They are flexible when it comes to the specific days during the week you come in (Monday is required).
Their Art Director is taking a portion of time out to re-design sections of the magazine and they need to cover her role with a good, independent designer able to work in their style. They need this person to start ASAP!
He/she will be working on features, converting magazine files to folios for the iPad, overall magazine layout, typography.
Requirements:
- Must have good magazine experience, and be good at working with others and taking responsibility for a piece from concept to production.
- Must have good typographic and conceptual skills.
- Working mostly in Indesign5 and K4. We are planning to move to Indesign 6 soon
