Aquent is seeking a Front-End Developer for a full-time, on-site role based in Rockville, MD. Must be strong in CSS3, HTML 4/5, JQUERY UI and 508 with working knowledge of SEO and BackBone. Must have experience developing for web applications, not just websites. Candidate must be highly collaborative and have ability that spans all areas of the front end development process including: • Hand coding of CSS/XHTML. Prototyping of Website pages • Interaction design of Website pages • Development and Documentation of user-centeric design methodologies, style guides, web standards, and CSS/XHTML best practices • Recommendations for front end technologies • Code walkthroughs, testing, and QA • Facilitation of usability testing and review of usability testing results Required skills include: • 5 years experience with website front end coding and interaction design • Proven knowledge of standards-compliant, cross-browser compatible XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery, including CSS3 and HTML 5 • Capable of converting Photoshop/Fireworks mock ups into CSS/XHTML templates for back end developer's use • Skilled with image optimization • Experience working on large-scale web initiatives • Strong understanding of usability and accessibility issues, including understanding how to code for 508 compliance • Understanding of Content Management Systems and the rendering differences compared to HTML • Knowledge of SEO optimization techniques • Experience with SOA Java EE, including JSF and JSP • Experience with FLASH/FLEX and AJAX • Experience working in an Agile environment • Experience with social media, mobile and tablet technologies preferred • Experience with Adobe LiveCycle Enterprise Suite (ES2.5) and Adobe Digital Enterprise Platform (ADEP) a plus • Experience with BackBone a plus Experience with hand coding CSS/XHTML 5 years Experience with SOA Java EE, including JSF and JSP 3 years Experience with Section 508 Compliant Websites 2 years Experience with Web 2.0 applications (social media, mobile, tablet) 1 years
