The primary program the designer will be using is Adobe InDesign CS4. It is vital that the person is an expert in this Adobe program first and foremost.

• This position is responsible for print preparation and quality assurance of electronic mechanicals for US promotional materials (print & digital).
• There will also be involvement in the tracking & reporting of production kpi's, and maintenance of a proprietary catalog publishing system.
• This associate will work in a catalog production environment that is fast paced, requires short turnarounds and is subject to late changes.
• Successful performance is measured by adherance to print schedules, minimal error rates in mechanical construction and resolving
technical issues related to graphic design and publishing systems.









Business Expertise:

• Excellent skills in Adobe InDesign & Illustrator.
• Excellent knowledge of Mac OS.
• Good skills in Adobe Photoshop.
• Familiarity with catalog publishing systems.
• Familiarity with print/prepress processes and workflows.



Interaction:

• This position is required to have interaction with the following Avon functions (prioritized order):
- Art Directors (daily)
- Copywriters (daily)
- Campaign Management associates (weekly)
- Global & local IT associates (monthly)

• Responsibilities will require extensive knowledge of industry standard software applications.
