PLATFORM(S): Mac and PC
ENVIRONMENT: Corporate, Multi-media Team (Designers, Consultants, Production artists), mostly a virtual team, reports in to manager in Houston, TX
POSITION: Temp to perm
LOCATION: Onsite; Open to the following cities: Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, New Orleans, Phoenix, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Multimedia, Web or Graphic Design and/or related discipline
or equivalent work experience
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of approximately 5 years of related design experience
Essential Functions of the Job:
•Develop leading-edge digital designs, architecture, artwork and page-level programming for web-based and other multimedia projects.
•Create compelling designs using graphics, type, color, motion, sound and user interaction.
•Successfully uses CSS, JavaScript, ActionScript, LotusScript and page-level C-sharp (C#) to add style and interactivity to deliverables.
•Mentors and educates multimedia technologists, senior designers, and designers in developing technology and design skills, including critiquing multimedia projects and providing constructive feedback for growth and development.
•Serves as liaison between Creative Services Group (CSG) and customer; helps select appropriate media, format and packaging.
•Keeps abreast of industry trends, evaluates leading practices and new service offerings, raises awareness and supports firm brand.
•Acts as a project manager; communicates and negotiates project deadlines, project scope, cost estimates and schedule changes as necessary. Utilizes the internal Project Management tool to make certain all time and materials are billed correctly and project instructions and client interactions are fully documented. Maintains workflow within compressed time frames.
•Advanced troubleshooting, debugging and testing skills. Uses analytical skills; thinks strategically to relate design to the end user.
•Evaluates conflicting requirements of multiple customers.
