This individual will be the liaison between a third party vendor and our client. Will be in constant communication with the vendor to make sure things are running smoothly, on time, and effectively. Will also work heavily with Marketing Managers, Web Marketing Analysts to make sure the campaigns are being tagged correctly and routed properly.
Position Summary:
The Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Specialist, reporting to the eMarketing Manager, will be responsible for driving the success of SEM campaigns within the Customer Channels Group. This includes strategizing, planning, and executing SEM campaigns, working with the eBusiness and eMarketing Teams to drive SEO, and identifying new opportunities to drive business through SEM.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with marketing and product management to develop initial process documentation and to align Search Engine Marketing (SEM) within business strategies
• Work with marketing, product management, and 3rd party to develop, monitor, and optimize all advertising campaigns including keyword generation, ad copy writing, landing page testing, and reporting
• Work with 3rd party to manage the pay-per-click (PPC) advertising budgets
• Analyze program performance and KPIs (ROAS, CTR, CPA, conversion rate, incremental cost, etc) and develop overall campaign performance reporting to support data driven decisions and constantly improve campaign effectiveness
• Work with Marketing, Product Management, eMarketing and eBusiness Teams to test and implement web site improvements concerning SEO
• Align with the content team to ensure SEO is considered at content authoring stage of marketing web page development
• Maintain current search engine 3rd party partnerships as well as identify potential opportunities for new partners.
• Assist with analyzing marketing performance and campaigns by developing and analyzing performance reports
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Google AdWords Certification
• 3+ years SEM experience
• Advanced knowledge of Google AdWords and other SEM platforms
• Hands on experience with managing extensive and complex PPC campaigns
• Experience with large sets of data
• Must be of a technical and highly analytical mindset
• Knowledge of campaign management tools including search platforms and 3rd party ad serving tools such as Kenshoo and Marin is a plus
• Experience working with web analytics packages such as Omniture SiteCatalyst is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel and PPT
• Ability to perform under pressure and thrive in fast-paced, multi-campaign environments
• Must be passionate about search marketing and ambitious to develop skills
• Excellent project management skills including the ability to formulate and drive detailed plans and key performance indicators to report on the health of each project
• Able to work independently and proactively, identifying issues and raising them to management, as well as offering potential solutions
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
