200016662 - Juniper / Cisco Network Engineer

Our client company, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, would like to add a Juniper/Cisco Network Engineer to their team. This is an on-going assignment with no set end date. You would be a W2, hourly employee of Aquent during this time. We do have health and dental benefits from which you may choose.

Here is what you will do:
The work entails about 70% Juniper work and 30% Cisco. Our enterprise-level client is moving from a Cisco to a Juniper environment.

Job Responsibilities:
Accountable for software and hardware upgrades of network equipment, capacity planning, security administration and problem and incident resolution for network infrastructure supporting top tier applications.


Here is what you need to have:
Skills and Experience:
• Experience configuring and deploying network switches, routers and appliances including adding VLANs and routing protocols.
• Ability to work with Capacity Planning and vendors on equipment procurement, returns and inventory.
• Strong understanding and experience troubleshooting tools such as protocol analyzers and bandwidth utilization reports.
• Experience supporting infrastructure to meet network requirements by monitoring performance and availability and tuning network infrastructure to meet SLAs for LAN, WAN, etc.
