Our client, located in downtown Chicago, is looking to hire a Sr. Director of Marketing on a contract-to-hire basis. This individual reports to the CTO and will be responsible for all activities related to marketing, including market strategy and achievement of marketing objectives. Specific responsibilities include business and market development, acquisition and retention communication programs, market research and planning, and strategic direction for promotion and advertising. He or she must also manage media relations and direct the day-to-day activities of the Marketing Staff. Additional details below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develops the marketing plan, strategies and tactics, necessary to achieve set goals and objectives.
• Implements the marketing plan and spend, making necessary adjustments based on on-going analysis and market trends.
• Positions and protects corporate brand, messaging, and all communications.
• Develops and implements corporate communications and brand strategies through direct marketing programs, public relations, and events.
• Works with internal departments in the design, development, and implementation of service and product offerings.
• Identify and provide recommendations for additional marketing opportunities and strategic partnerships.
• Monitor lead generation success, public relations traction, social media footprint, and general sales enablement progress.
• Oversees and provides direction regarding market and competitor analysis.
• Develops and owns overall responsibility of all public communications.
• Ensures that all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives, and are an effective expenditure of resources.
• Develops and maintains on-going communications with key target audiences, including customers, consultants, media, and employees.
• Plans and implements corporate events in a quality, professional manner.
• Presents marketing update to key executive personnel.
• Partners with management team to ensure the best possible service and communications to client customers.

Required Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
Must have strong Digital background including Web, Social Media, email, among other marketing channels.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, and consultants
• Ability to develop long-term plans and programs
• Ability to evaluate work accomplishments
• Comfortable speaking in front of large audiences
• Strong verbal-communication and writing skills

EDUCATION & BUSINESS EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) MBA preferred
• Minimum of 7 to 10 years experience in marketing
