Our client is looking to hire a Senior Visual Designer for a long-term contract, possible contract-to-hire career opportunity. This individual will be an integral part of the UX Design team. This Sr. Visual Designer will lead efforts to deliver ready-for-production templates and visual assets needed for marketing operations. You will provide your subject matter expertise in the areas of graphic, motion and interactive design to create compelling and engaging content for digital customer communication vehicles, including email, online (website), mobile and kiosk experiences. The ideal candidate has a passion for creating dynamic, contextually relevant merchandising messages and integrative campaign planning. Ideal candidate also has a good eye for photography - including ability to select and review images that are relevant, high quality, contemporary, impactful and brand appropriate.

Knowledge/Skills
* Demonstration of strong design style required
* Demonstration of creative design solutions within constrains of Web required
* Demonstrated advanced use of design tools such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks and Illustrator required
* Knowledge of the technical side of website production including HTML and CSS required
* Familiarity of techniques used in publishing and production required
* Successfully demonstrated an ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously with rapid turnaround times and manage multiple tasks and project details required
* Good understanding of graphic design and an ability to use visual design techniques to organize information and improve usability required
* Good eye for photography - including ability to select and review images that are relevant, high quality, contemporary, impactful and brand appropriate required
* A positive outlook and a can-do attitude required
* Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills required
* Ability to work collaboratively or independently required
* Intuitive understanding and empathy for everyday users: their motivators, their goals, their barriers preferred
* Ability to turn complex design challenges into innovative elegant solutions, and to put those solutions into tangible form preferred
* Ability to explain usability and user experience to other departments-- in their language preferred
* Ability to run presentation meetings, design reviews, and creative workshops preferred

Experience
* 3 to 5 years experience (5+ preferred) in web creative development/direction/execution in an agency or equivalent environment required
* 3+ years experience managing large design projects required
* Portfolio with a range of interactive and cross-channel campaign examples a requirement
* Experience with large cross-functional teams required
* 8+ years professional UX design eExperience working within brand standards of major business-to-consumer website preferred
* Experience working on user interface of a functional / transactional web site application preferred
* Flash design and production experience preferred
