600004160 - Art Director/Sr. Designer

Aquent is looking for an Ace Art Director/Senior Designer for an excellent long-term contract opportunity in Dallas. A super strong creative with Retail and Fashion background is a HUGE bonus.

This is the Design Star that we’re looking for:

1) Conceptual thinker with an outstanding portfolio with at least 6-8 years design/art direction experience.
2) Must be able to take creative from start to finish for a broad spectrum of projects. Branding experience is a plus. We would prefer candidates that have worked with fashion images mixed with type. They need to understand simplicity and be able to quickly adapt to the brand.
3) This candidate needs to have above and beyond knowledge of design techniques with amazing page layout skills and be a total type snob, and a wizard at InDesign (Photoshop wizardry a plus as well).
4) Candidate needs to be willing to take at times vague direction to convert into exciting design layouts that will motivate customers to buy.
5) Fashion retail photo shoot experience is preferred, but not a requirement.

1) Extensive knowledge of print media production, be stellar at verbal communication and have good interpersonal skills, have a wicked sense of style and the ability to portray a high taste level with an aesthetic sensitivity.
2) FAST! Multi-task and work under high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.
3) No attitude No ego. Must be extremely easy to work with.
4) Super flexible.
5) Candidates would need to be willing to work in a creative partnership with Senior Art Director & Creative Director to generate workable concepts, images, and ideas.
6) Education: College, art school graduate preferred, not required.
