600005398 - Mobile UX Interaction Designer

One of Aquent’s San Francisco utility clients is seeking a talented and experienced Mobile UX Interaction Designer for a short-term contract. The client is only interested in talent currently residing in the San Francisco Bay Area.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Mobile UX Interaction Designer will be responsible for designing a great user experience across varied platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Define mobile interaction requirements in consultation with Business Analysts and business owners
• Convert detailed business requirements to Mobile UX
• Develop graphics for mobile and mobile IA
• Define and adhere to Mobile UX standards for the company’s customer facing apps
• Design images, icons and other elements required for the app and marketing of app

REQUIREMENTS
• 3+ years of user experience design, interaction design, information architecture or usability experience, specifically in the areas of mobile application and web design
• Good knowledge of the “Human Interface Guidelines” for smartphone devices (Android, Blackberry, iPad and iPhone)
• Must have experience with hybrid mobile applications in JQuery, integration of Google API, leveraging existing databases and data sources
• Must have knowledge to help team uncover developing a mobile platform
• Demonstrated experience in designing mobile experiences based on strong knowledge of user experience design best practices and mobile design patterns
• Understanding of mobile technologies and platform differences
• Solid understanding of research and analysis techniques such as focus groups, participatory design, and usability testing
