The Human Resources Generalist coordinates implementation of services, policies, and programs through Human Resources staff; reports to the Human Resources Director, and assists and advises company managers about Human Resources issues.
Primary Objectives:
• Safety of the workforce.
• Development of a superior workforce.
• Development of the Human Resources department. Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
•Compliance
The Human Resources generalist is responsible for all or part of these areas:
• Offer letter, Orientation and On Boarding
• I9s, Everify, Background Checks
• Affirmative Action Plan
• Service Award Programs
• Performance management
• Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting
• Employee development, and training;
• Policy development and documentation
• Employee safety, welfare, wellness and health
• Customer Service Oriented Approach
• Organizational Development
• Manage unemployment program nationwide, conduct biannual unemployment claim reviews and work with unemployment claim management vendor.
• Assist and advise company managers about Human Resource Issues
• Manage Files, Record Retention Policies
• Assist with other projects and responsibilities as needed.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Minimum Six years’ experience in applicable human resources.
• Skill requirements include written and verbal communications, organizational planning and problem solving.
• Must have ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate sound judgment, strategic thinking, excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to prioritize and take initiative, work well under pressure, and maintain confidential information.
• Some knowledge of employment law.
• Employee must work out of the Boston HQ location.
Preferred
• Staffing experience and HRIS management strongly preferred.
• Microsoft Office Experience (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• ADP/Enterprise Experience
• Succession and/or Career Planning Experience
