Aquent’s Fortune 500 Company is seeking a highly skilled Sr. UX Designer to join their Ottawa UX team. If you live for designing social experiences we want to hear from you. An opportunity exists to work on BBM for the BlackBerry Platform. The successful candidate will help set the strategy, concept, design and represent the UX organization. The ideal designer should have a strong point of view of the future of social networks and have the desire to build tools for these communities to do more together. Finally the ideal candidate should understand that the beauty of a product is in its look AND behavior and have the skills to design both.

SPECIFICS:
- Create truly innovative user experiences - Be able to create a vision, design the experience, represent the work and have a keen eye for detail on the execution.
- Work with other disciplines - Internal design (Visual, Industrial, Research and Prototyping) as well as development and marketing partners.
- Inspire and enlighten the design group and the entire social communities’ organization by being a strong and articulate communicator with a well thought out point of view.
- Provide leadership - including mentoring and team management

REQUIRMENTS:
- Have 6+ years’ experience designing digital interface experiences.
- Have a clear history of designing social user experiences and strategy with deep knowledge of communication, design, information architecture, user research, thorough well-presented workflows, UI and prototypes.
- Well-versed in research and discovery methodology.
- Comfortable presenting their findings and designs in front of a variety of stakeholders
- Have experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint and other design related software required
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates UX samples that are both functional and beautiful, backed by a solid creative process.
