64641 - Art Director, Digital

This position plays a key role in developing breakthrough design concepts. Reports directly to the Senior Art Director and works collaboratively with Front-end Development, Merchandising and Content management team

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for conception, design, and execution of innovative visual materials for major digital projects
• Manage product photography and image production team
• Develop/update style guides and standards for Sephora.com as well as online partner sites
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and support by providing design solutions
• Mentor and inspire direct reports
• Manage freelance designers/photographers/production artists and vendors as needed

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

• Strong design portfolio, ideally in the beauty/fashion/retail industry
• Minimum 3 plus years experience in ecommerce
• Strong understanding of front-end website development
• Solid understanding of digital photography and color management
• BFA in Graphic Design or equivalent experience/education
• Strong sense of style and creativity
• Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and basic HTML. Flash a plus
• Posses highly polished professional skills (Written, verbal, presentation, etc)
• Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects, people and initiatives.
