Day-to-day efforts of the JavaScript Engineer are focused around building software application with Javascript technologies -- leveraging SOAP/REST APIs. The necessary JavaScript experience will include, jQuery / jQuery UI, Twitter Bootstrap, Backbone / Underscore, Require.js, Globalize.js, NodeJS, Volo, Grunt, and QUnit.
A passion for new technologies (HTML5, JQuery, Web Storage, etc.), client-side application, browser functionality, etc. is a huge bonus! This person should understand the backend, but be reaching forward to the front end. This full-time, 6-month contract position requires you to:
• Develop rich client layer, taking on foundation code, UI widgets, application components and other functionality as required.
• Come aboard to deliver advanced, responsive functionality in a clean, extensible design of architecture for our client application, .
• Assist to build an appropriate and efficient testing framework for the client code
• Be an expert on new and evolving client-side technologies, their application to our functionality or architecture goals, and the practical implications of their use in a cross-browser environment.

Required Qualifications
+ Fluency with front-end technologies - JavaScript, JQuery, JQuery-UI, CSS/CSS3, XHTML, HTML5/HTML, XML/DOM
+ Experience with Twitter Bootstrap, Backbone/Underscore, Require.js, Globalize.js, NodeJS, Volo, Grunt and QUnit
+ Understanding of the fundamentals of JavaScript as a programming language
+ Experience in browser-side application development/implementation
+ Familiarity with AJAX-related libraries - e.g. Prototype, Backbone.js, JQuery, and other modern microframeworks
+ Familiarity with MVC architecture or other modern thick-client architecture required;
