Our client, a global portfolio of luxury brands, is looking to bring on a Production Design Specialist immediately. This is an ONSITE role in their Stamford office, 40-hours a week (for a duration of around 3 months.)
In order to be qualified, candidates must be Expert level in Adobe Suite (CS4-5), as well as MS Word and PowerPoint. Must have solid mechanical skills (page layout, style sheets, master pages, and plug-ins). In addition, candidates must have excellent typesetting and layout skills (type layout, fitting body copy, variable text boxes, advanced kerning, working in layers, masking clipping paths and more).
Candidates must also be comfortable with type layout of translation content including character languages. They must also posess a strong understanding of printing methods and finishes (i.e., digital, offset, silkscreening, crown foil stamping, etc..)
Lastly, candidates mus be experienced in prepress and preflighting files for printing and have working knowledge of ink colors (Pantone vs. CMYK).
