Understand customer needs in key segments and be able to translate these needs into successful marketing programs that drive revenue growth.
Embrace customer and marketing insights to help guide strategies and ensure that all layouts and copy deliver on the strategy/creative brief.
Drive the development and execution of targeted marketing messaging and programs, go-to-market strategy and tactical activities, managing and liaising agency or third party involvement when appropriate.
Implement and track activities, adjusting as needed to maximize effectiveness and routinely reporting back on that effectiveness to Sales and Marketing management.
Work collaboratively with product marketing, providing input and validation on product positioning, messaging and outbound marketing strategy/mix.
Serve as an expert on customer behaviors, needs and responses to programs in specific segments and in the business overall.
Travel with local sales representatives to help implement go-to-market programs and better understand customer needs.
Work to develop, maintain and strengthen the link between Marketing and Sales specifically with regard to Marketing Programs and Campaigns.

This individual will own and drive winning marketing strategies and associated campaigns/programs in concert with commercial business strategy and brand strategy. This person will establish strategic design and communications plans, and maintain quality assurance oversight across all channels (print advertising, eMarketing, collateral, etc.).
This person will interact with a matrixed, geographically dispersed team of commercial personnel (sales, marketing, support) in the execution of the above
Skills:
Preferred Experiential Background:
Minimum 4 years experience in marketing, marketing communications and/or product marketing in life sciences.
Proven track record and experience in leading campaign and program development.
Sales experience highly desirable.
Education:
Preferred Educational Background:
Minimum of a bachelor degree in the biological sciences, chemistry, genetics or other related field.
MBA or other related degree in business, marketing, communications highly desirable.
