Youthful fashion retail client is growing rapidly and has an immediate need for an Associate Web Designer to design and execute digital content components to elevate our eCommerce and Social Networking presence.

The primary focus of this position will be to create a compelling homepage and email content, as well as, the preparation of images for the web. The ideal candidate will be a digital design “rock star” with 2-3+ years of experience. Since our company is focused on selling women’s’ apparel, footwear, handbags and accessories, expertise in eCommerce fashion/retail, web graphic design, is really important.

This is a design role, but some backend programming and “web mapping” will be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design compelling visual treatments for emails, homepages, and social media, to drive sales.
• Work closely with design and technology teams to conceptualize and prototype functionality, look and feel.
• Multitask projects; concept development, design and implementation; presenting, and reporting progress.
• Backend programming and “web mapping” development
• Work closely with internal business partners as well as Information Architects, Developers and Project Managers

QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong design and layout skills
• Graphic Design skills and ability to use Adobe Creative Suite 4 including Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver with experience creating layers and redlines for web development.
• Expertise with, Illustrator, Typefaces, & web production required.
• A broad understanding of HTML, Flash and the capabilities of web browsers.
• Experience with Flash and querying/parsing data from XML or databases.
• Understanding of Digital processes and print processes with the ability to define and work within specifications.
• Strong Internet technology skills with an ability to prototype and to communicate with UX & Development teams.
• Ability to work on both Mac and PC platforms (eCommerce CMS tools).
• Organized with the ability to manage numerous projects, tight turnaround times, revisions and technical challenges effectively.
• Ability to independently solve problems is an essential skill for this position.

This project manager role will lead strategic global projects to introduce new products. Managing the development and implementation of complex new programs or processes that improve profitability, reduce costs, streamline operations or enhance customer service.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Creating new store concepts and enhancements to the existing store portfolio that supports varied customer need states and points of distribution. Working knowledge of CAD drafting using Revit, Microstation or AutoCAD software.

Knowledge of building and health codes and other jurisdictional codes.
