Overview

Role: AI Cloud and Data Engineer – Application Developer 
Location: Redmond, WA (Hybrid Role)
Duration: Initial End Date 30 June 2024 (Possible Extension)

The client is looking to accelerate AI research and the development of use cases that can complement human ingenuity by increasing availability of industry-scale foundation models by engaging with the research community. Through this program, we hope to re-imagine AI learning and research using foundation models while also exploring new use cases that can complement human ingenuity through diversified academic expertise.

Role Specifics:
• 5-7 years of experience of app development required
• Design a scalable, reliable, and optimized ML infrastructure on Azure, using best practices and industry standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, researchers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to comprehend their needs, gather requirements, and develop AI-powered solutions that meet their expectations and goals
• Proficiency with Azure Dev/Ops (ADO) tools and services
• Organize and manage GitHub repositories, branches, pull requests, issues, and workflows for code versioning, collaboration, and quality assurance
• Familiarity with modern LLM platforms such as OpenAI, Llama, and open-source large language models (LLMs) to create innovative and impactful applications across research domain
• Implement platform capabilities to support MLOps for foundation models, such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, testing, monitoring, and feedback
• Ensure the security and compliance of models deployed in the field, following regulatory guidelines, data privacy, and ethical considerations related to AI applications
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and presentations to effectively communicate AI methodologies, results, and recommendations to diverse audiences
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, industry trends, and emerging technologies, and apply them to improve existing solutions or create new one
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize across varying workstream types
• Partner closely with other members of functional project teams
• Ensure appropriate systems development and development processes are being utilized

Must Have skills:
• Engineer Exp | 5 years
• Azure Ecosystem and AI/ML | 5 years (tool experience – can develop prototypes/demos)
• Experience in a similar fast paced role | 5+ years

“The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $75.74 to $84.15 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
